First we want to say thanks to all that have supported us by making a donation, this is real feedback for akirad.net and this is real encouragement to continue our application Tutorials around the GNU/Linux world. If you missed the first section click here. Now, in the first section we stopped at: Now go to the timeline and move the white flashing line, then move the image in the composer one more time, then rewind and play the videoclip, you will be able to see the image moving on the video... looks good! ( If you lose sight of the lines of cameras use the button )". We'll learn all setting that we need as we go along. Now we'll learn to use the tracks icons See the red button? Click on it to "arm" it. If it is disarmed, it will prevent track modification. It's very important to know that if you work on the compositor with "generates frames when tweaking" the change will be applied to all tracks. Keyboard tricks: with tab we can disable/enable "arm" button to a single track, otherwise with shift+tab we can disable/enable the "arm" button on all tracks. It's a good idea to rename the tracks with name that can help us to remember what it contains. In this way: we can add a transition from resources>video transitions easily by dragging and dropping it in middle of two pictures. Now we can add a touch of personality to the transition: Be sure that you have selected "cut and paste editing mode", select a section in the middle of two pictures by holding the left key and dragging mouse around the timebar as shown in this picture: now onthe effect icon you can see two icons, first to modify ( the length ) and second to disable On bottom of the main menu we can see a control that allows us to increase the view of tracks, use it to ensure that the effect will be easier to edit Now find the white flashing bar and move it to before the start of the effect and press length. Modify the effect to in a way that does not distort the image, do same at the end. The center of effect completely distorts the images (you need only one or two keyframes ), now we can see this: If you have some errors you can delete keyframes with mouse right button. Be sure that on the view menu, you have selected camera Z, if you need to, resize with the zoom selector on bottom of main menu. By clicking on blue line (zoom), make 4 keyframes and draw a curve as shown in the follow picture. Now our effect is complete. True, we can do more simple or complex effects, the only limit is your imagination. Go to the audio menu and add two tracks, if already have them. now we can load our favourite song/songs by dragging from Resources>Media to the new tracks. Add pictures as desired until you reach the end of the song. You can also try to follow music rhythm. As you may remember, to increase duration of pictures you can drag the border of image with the left mouse button. You can also move the image with the "drag and drop editing mode". To save our job so we can restart it and edit later, go to File menu and save the project as .xml. When you are ready to export your movie go to File > Render. ( Always save the project before export ) now to export an mpeg4 ( with small size, qdvdathor compatibility, and good quality ) select file format: "Microsoft Avi" ( don't forgot to select "create new resources only") from the audio tool icon select mp3 and from the video tool icon select "Microsoft Mpeg4", fix quantization 5 (up for small file, down for better quality), keyframe interval 25 On our next section, we will learn how to use multitrack, cut the clips, titling and to export on dvd with qdvdauthor. byez Paolo and Dennis If you have ubuntu, you can install cinelerra from here This site/repository is financed by donations.
